The book has plenty of information about Lever&#8217;s early life, his plans for Lever Park and the background to the disputes with Liverpool Corporation. Horwich Library have a copy, or you can order from Amazon <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0552150878/qid=1117485990/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl/026-8155723-4792453">here</a>.</p>
<p>By a strange quirk the book was reviewed on BBC Radio 4&#8242;s <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/arts/agoodread.shtml">A Good Read</a> today and was recommended by Patricia Routledge. Here&#8217;s the link to the radio program on the <a href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00dzkwf/b00dzkvx/A_Good_Read_21102008/">BBC&#8217;s iPlayer</a></p>
