“Non Communicato”

Judging by the amount of local and parishioner contributions to this web forum, one wonders has to whether the local inhabitants are concerned about the destruction of this beautiful part of the county.
It’s a pity that the wildlife can’t operate a computer or they would be flooding the airwaves.
I thought the day of being afraid of the landlords was well and truly gone.
Yes Bob,
I can`t agree more! The real losers here is the wildlife whose habitats have been destroyed. This was never about giving young people something to do.It was about greed and exploitation on the part of U.U. and Chorley Council.I can not believe how counselors have sat back and done nothing. It is obvious that they do not care about Rivington, as they probably never visit this area, which was once beautiful. They are supposed to fight local issues on behalf of local people,in this case they did very little. like Bob i am very disillusioned.I am also surprised that the people who are supposed to protect wildlife also did nothing. Why?could it be that U.U. give these organisations donations.Do they not know there are always strings attached.Maybe they could explain why they were so reluctant to get involved, and prove me wrong.
Bob, I think as i’ve voiced in earlier comments, we have experience of those who are afraid to stand and be counted for fear of reprisals by their landlord. Yes, in these days it’s hard to believe that a feudal system can exist, but it seems that it does.
I also believe that the apparent apathy from the residents of Rivington is probably due to the fact that they just don’t care. Maybe we live in a time when there is a certain amount of social ceudos attached to living in a picturesque village with an address that reflects an element of status. This may be a slightly cynical point of view, but I can’t help thinking that my thoughts are somewhat substantiated by the number of children that are shipped into the primary / junior school by 4×4 parents from outlying areas who maybe deem it socially advantageous to inform that their child attends Rivington Village School, notwithstanding the fact of course, that it obviously is a very good school.
So, in short I think that the residents of Rivington are either , less interested in the village and surrounding area than their address, or too scared to voice an opinion in case it jepordises all they hold dear. Just a theory!
Bob,
How can things be discussed on this website when comments against your blogs are removed?
Maybe if the website adapted more of an equal approach there would be more ‘contributions to this web forum’.
Forum being the key word here.
Hello fairy, what a load of rubbish.
Give us some examples.
Or was it because the comments weren’t in queens english.
Or would you want the content of the FORUM to go to gutter level, so for your info fairy ,everyone is treated fair(ly).
I see your email is G45@tiscali.co.uk ,and signed in as fairy.
