It's a shame that UU can't pick up the rubbish as quick as they paint yellow arrows in the woodland.
But then again it could be that the organ grinder is dictating priorities.
No! that's a stupid thought, but what a coincidence that the work will start when the go-ape season finishes.
And is anyone willing to have a bet that the only reason for the diversion is because of landing zone.
They have to do something, how pathetic is it when the customers are seen stranded short of the zone with their little legs dangling in mid-air.

Top marks to whoever has cleaned up the mess. If it takes highlighting the problems on this web site to get things done, then so be it. I call on all walkers and readers of this site to report any problems as soon as they occur and hope that UU monitor often enough to respond.

I've never seen a litter picker. Only the contractor who empties he bins around the barn. UU seem to suggest a veritable army of litter pickers!

I took my camera last saturday and took a photo of that rubbish ,it will be interesting to see if it`s still there by this Saturday.
There is a lot of broken glass strewn around through the trees, let`s hope all that is picked up.
Matt Taylor in his email said
"The area is litter picked daily by Go Ape, weekly by United Utilities staff and 3 times a week by United Utilities contractors. It is the responsibility of the public to look after their own waste and it is considered standard countryside practice to expect the public to behave in this way and this forms an integral part of the countryside code."
I suggest to UU that they have serious words with their contractors and staff as in my opinion they aren`t doing a very good job ,because that rubbish left near the castle should have been spotted and removed according to the email itinery if they had been walking round the Park actually litter picking.
