Still no response

On the 1st July/09, I sent a polite e-mail to Mr Martin Padley ( United Utilities ) asking if the bollards could be replaced near the Go-Ape entrance, Thus preventing cars from encroaching on land surrounding a memorial bench. For some reason Mr Padley as failed to reply, so it looks as though I will have to make the request at an higher level of management and also ask the question as to what United Utilities attitude is towards looking after the Arboretum and it’s memorial markers.
I’m sure the response will be favourable, so I can’t understand as to why Mr Padley has not followed up my polite request.
There is one thing that springs to mind, and that is that Mr Padley in the past has insisted on hard copies and not e-mail contact. That seems strange in this day and age, I am personally not bothered how any-one replies, just as long as they have the courtesy to aknowledge contact.
