Its a reminder that, if we’d been able to get into the planning process sooner, we could have got the plans cancelled. Pollok Park and Lever Park are very similar areas. Next time (and there will be a next time) we must be more vigilant.

Its excellent news for Pollock Park,(Its a shame its not Lever Park)Hopefully the tide is turning against these greedy people who just want to exploite the countryside to benefit themselves.Few people believe their claim that they are doing it to give people something to do.What is now going on in Lever Park is an absolute disgrace.If it wasn`t for Bob Dootson they would be getting away with it.No one in power seems to care that they are flouting the planning laws.This Go Ape fiasco is far worse than anyone could imagine in terms of destroying the countryside and wildlife habitats.
All with the blessing of U.U. who`s only interest is making money with the least amount of work for themselves.I hope they are proud of themselves for what they have allowed to happen in Lever Park which was once a tranquil place to visit.To think it was left by Lord lever to the people,now these same people are being driven out by rutheless people.

Pollok Park (common good land), Lever Park ( 1902 Liverpool Corporation Act).
Both would have had the same outcome if the public had been notified.
Unfortunatley Chorley passed it at delegated powers without public knowledge, save Pollok Park managed to get their teeth into it before it was passed.
Even then they had a fight on their hands, but every credit to them for sticking it out.
Congratulations to Bill Fraser and his supporters.
