Protecting Lever Park and Rivington for the future…

I `ve not been down this weekend as my dog is heavily pregnant-I can`t believe what i`m looking at.How many of these stockades are there going to be?
An absolute abomination to put it bluntly I`m gobsmacked.
How any one can say Go-Ape blends in to local habitat lives in a different world to me
And they’ve not finished yet, I wonder how many more trees they want to bring down. Have a look at how many they have marked with a blue spot, starting at the big oak tree and work south(they’ve even marked the large oak).I made a quick count of 13 and that was without making a thorough search.
The way this lot operate you could easily double that figure.
Don’t forget on the first application, only 3 trees were numbered for removal, and we know what figure that reached (21) .
Then there will be more stockades, there will be more fencing in that area than the whole of Rivington put together.
And lets not forget more zip and support wires to decapitate someone. I can’t believe Health and Safety are letting them get away with this. There are alot of high ranking officials from both council and political who should be getting off their rear end, and sort this mess out.
This is about more than the 1902 Liverpool Corporation Act, this is about peoples lives being put at risk.
Health and Safety has nothing to do any Parliamentary Act, its about protecting the public from potential danger.
Some people need to come out of their nice cosy little offices and have a look at the dangers. We are talking about possible death here, not a twisted ankle because some footpath was uneven.
What an eyesore! we need to take action quickly.
We all know that the “stockades” are illegal. Why is no-one with authority listening? Is it alright for a commercial enterprise to break the law with impunity? I have photos of the wood where Go-Ape hasn’t trashed it and it’s heartbreaking to see the comparison with the photos on the website. I defy anyone to say that Go-Ape “blends into the environment”. It’s a disgrace and I think the next meeting will be “lively” to say the least. It’s time to stand up and be counted.
