Tree Update
Jan 10th, 2009 by bobdootson
I was told yesterday by Mr Paul Whittingham that the zip wire that goes between trees marked 408 and 409 will not be going up, because of the tree damage/removal that will be involved.
This is the outside wire that crosses over the path and the woodland on the waters edge, go-ape this weekend are supposed to be removing this wire .
What will happen to the other wire is open to question, because they are supposed to be on site this weekend to view other options regarding completing the course.
Surely if the plans for the course are changed, they will need to re-apply for planning permission?
Any any development outside the clearly defined planning area will certainly need planning permission. The planning area is the red line on the map here: http://www.leverpark.co.uk/docs/chorley/SiteLocationPlan.pdf
Update on zip wire from Sat morning. 10/1/09
The zip wire over the water to tree 409 which was loosely connected to see what if any further tree work was required, had been re routed to a beech tree nearer to the Primary school and other high wire activity walkways had been added.
The other wire still to go in parallel to this was not in place, only short lengths of wire round the trunks to indicate the line.
