Go Ape Work Resumes?
Jan 7th, 2009 by David
Alan has posted this on the forum:
Another move by Go-Ape. The French contractor “Altos” (the people doing the tree works) have arrived this morning Wednesday Jan 7th. Four men and van. Are they ready to start the construction work again? This may be stepping up the pace by Go-Ape. I wonder what applications Go-Ape had from their ads. for staff that they placed in the local papers before Christmas? It is also notice that an electric cable has been routed from beside the lower barn to the Go-Ape cabin!!

I am disgusted to learn that work has resumed on the Go Ape site in Rivington.I would like know why Donna Hall is allowing this to happen.Surely all work should be stopped until the Ombudsmans report has been published.
Work has resumed again, this time on the reception cabin. Contractors installing electrics. ( lighting and power points). This 4 week halt on work by Go-Ape confirmed by Lindsay Hoyles office on the 13th Jan. (on a previous post.) Does this mean actual work on the course through the trees or does it include any work including work on or within the reception cabin. Work has been progressing within the cabin yesterday (Wednesday ) and today (Thursday). Any comments please.
Work was stopped on the felling of trees, to see what answers came back regarding the 1902 Act.
Further information can be obtained from paul.whittingham@chorley.gov.uk
Cabins etc can be taken down, but felled trees can’t be put back up.
