Chorley have closed up shop
Jan 5th, 2009 by bobdootson
If anybody wants any information regarding planning application 08/00553/FUL, don’t bother going to the “DROP IN SHOP”.
Only selective information is available, it appears that we must have been getting information that wasn’t for our eyes. In future anyone wishing to search the correspondence etc, will have to make an appointment to see Paul Whittingham.
Is this the only planning application on Chorley’s system that is denying public accessibility?
Is this another question for Donna Hall?
If they’ve done nothing wrong, then why restrict public access.
Mr Dootson – the planning application and all the associated documents are in the public domain as you are aware. I don’t know what you are trying to find in our One Stop Shop but you were offered a meeting with Paul Whittingham to try to help you find the data you need. Again – you declined a meeting which could have helped iron out the issues.
Donna Hall
If the documents are in the public domain, then why do we need to make an appointment to see Paul Whittingham in-order to view them.
Is this practice in place regarding viewing other planning applications.
With respect,if a member of the public wants information from the one stop shop, they shouldn’t need permission to view it.
You mention that I was offered a meeting with Paul Whittingham to find the data, please refresh my memory as to when this offer took place.
