Lever Park Boundaries
Oct 17th, 2008 by bobdootson
It appears United Utilities interpretation of the boundaries differ from those submitted by Lord Leverhulme into the 1902 Liverpool Corporation Act.
The Act and the Map refer to Lever park being coloured yellow, and the Act and the map both describe the boundary going to the waters edge.
In Chorley’s report to us,they give the impression that United Utilities refer to the iron fenceĀ as beingĀ the boundary.
The fence was erected after the 1902 Act was put in place, and non of the original buondaries have ever been ammended except for 1969 when a land swop was agreed so that the High School could do an extension.
