The Friends of Lever Park are a group of ordinary people who want to stop the commercial development of Lever Park. Over the last few months the Go Ape site has received planning approval, and United Utilities has published plans to open a large new car park. In their present form both plans are unsatisactory to large numbers of ramblers, cyclists, bikers, runners, horse riders and other users of the park.
